Title:Setting the stage for solar system formation
Abstract:I will go through the solar system formation history with two important phenomena: the NC/CC meteorite dichotomy and the giant planet's dynamical instability.
Meteorites display an isotopic composition dichotomy between non-carbonaceous (NC) and carbonaceous (CC) groups. This indicates that planetesimal formation in the solar protoplanetary disk occurred in two distinct reservoirs over the first several Myr. I will introduce an expanding disk model to explain the long separation of these two disk reservoirs.
Bio: Research interests: formation and dynamic evolution of solar system and exoplanets. Obtained his PhD in the Department of Astronomy, Peking University in 2010-2015, and conducted postdoctoral research at the University of Amsterdam in the Netherlands and Lund University in Sweden from 2015 to 2020, and has been a research professor at Zhejiang University since 2020.
